New Horizons Learning Program Ensuring Every Student's Successful Beginning and Bright Future by teaching in a manner that meets each student's individual learning needs Mission Holy Trinity School New Horizons Learning Program creates a partnership among the students, parents, classroom teacher, and resource teacher to ensure student success in all phases of learning. Focus on each student's learning styles / needs is centered in a spiritual, dignified approach to teaching and learning. Students are engaged in instruction utilizing educational strategies that incorporate student interests and abilities. Philosophy Holy Trinity School New Horizons Learning Program believes that every student has the potential to be great. Its fundamental concern is to educate each student in a dignified, supportive atmosphere that focuses on the learning styles / needs of the student. Emphasis is placed on the student's ability rather than his / her learning difference. The partnership that is formed among those involved in the student's education will result in the child's optimum growth both spiritually and academically. Parents and guardians, who are the primary educators and advocates for their child, play a significant role in the program. Objective The New Horizons teacher in conjunction with the classroom teacher(s) will create an individual learning plan for the student - including yearly goals and short-term objectives.
