Deneane Nofplot
Principal
Appointed: 1996
M.S., Education, Old Dominion University

Prior to becoming Principal in 1996, Mrs. Nofplot was the Title-1 teacher at Holy Trinity. In addition to principality of HTS, Mrs. Nofplot enjoys teaching Religion, especially second grade - preparing the students to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.

Kim Milleson has supported HTS as the Office Manager since 1996, after teaching Pre-School for four years.
Mrs. Milleson has three children, all of whom have attended HTS.

Carrie Kirkpatrick
Bookkeeper/
New Horizons
Carrie Kirkpatrick began teaching 2nd Grade at HTS in 1997 as a first year teacher. After teaching 2nd grade for 3 years and then 1st Grade for 2 years, Mrs. Kirkpatrick began supporting the main office as Bookkeeper. Having maintained her teaching certification over the years, Mrs. Kirkpatrick is looking forward to returning to the classroom this year part time as the resource teacher for the New Horizons Program.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick's two daughters attend Holy Trinity.

Denise Perry

Mrs. Perry has taught Pre-K3 at Holy Trinity School for ten years. She also served as the Extended Care Co-ordinator for four years.

Her grandson, Brentton is currently in Pre-K 4 at HTS.

This is Mrs. Sneddon's second year as the Pre-k 3 assistant and the 3rd year working in HTS Extended Care. She is currently working towards an AAS in Early Childhood Deveopement at TCC. Mrs. Sneddon has two children who attend HTS.

Mrs. Cox has taught at Holy Trinity School for 23 years. She taught Kindergarten and is currently the Pre-K4 teacher.

Mrs. Sullivan has been a member of the Holy Trinity family for seven years. Her daughters attend HTS. Before coming to HTS she taught in Southampton County Public Schools for three years and Portsmouth Public Schools for five years.

Allison Ives
1st Grade
Allison Ives comes to Holy Trinity after teaching at Larchmont Elementary and Northside Middle School in Norfolk. This past year she has also taught preschool P.E. and dance classes. Allison moved to Norfolk last year from Pensacola, FL where she taught at Bellview Middle School. Allison is from Stafford, VA and attended Penn State University where she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree. She looks forward to a productive and exciting 2009-2010 school year!

Ms. Ryan is an alum of Holy Trinity School, where she attended from first to eighth grade. A graduate of Granby High School and Christopher Newport University, she is excited to be working in the community that had such an amazing impact on her life. This is her second year teaching at Holy Trinity School. She looks forward to a new school year filled with exciting learning experiences and teaching her students in many fun and interesting ways.

Heather Frech
4th Grade
Mrs. Frech is a graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where she received a BA in Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language. This will be Mrs. Frech's 5th year teaching 4th Grade at Holy Trinity.
Mrs. Frech enjoys biking with her children, going to the park, and cooking.

Clark Garvin
5th Grade
Mr. Garvin was born and raised in Texas.
He served our country for 25 years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and a Supply Corps Officer.
He earned a BA in Business Administration from Chapman College (now Chapman University) in Orange, California, and attained a Master of Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Mr. Garvin taught for 3 1/2 years in Virginia Beach Public Schools, three years in Greensville County Schools, and is entering his 6th year at Holy Trinity School.

Ana Trigueros-Merritt
Spanish
Ms. Trigueros-Merritt graduated from Universidad Complutense of Madrid where she attended the college of "Economia y Turismo".

Her sense of pride in HTS is evident in her interaction with her Pre-K through 5th grade Spanish students. She has taught at Holy Trinity for four years. Ms. Ana is pursing an additional bachelors degree in French.

Her goal is to provide a clear picture of the Spanish language and culture and to instill an interest for other cultures and countries in the students and their families.

Mallory Adams

Mallory Adams teaches Middle School Language Arts and Spanish. She has her master's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Notre Dame. She has taught at the college and high school level and is excited to work with the Holy trinity Middle School this year! She is from Tampa, Florida.

Amanda Lowery
Math & Science

Ms. Lowery graduated from Old Dominion University in 1996. She has taught in public and private schools in Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

Ms. Lowery teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math and science. This is her third year at Holy Trinity School. She has been teaching since 2002.

Mike Frost
Social Studies & Religion

This is Mr. Frost’s fourth year at Holy Trinity School. This year he will be teaching Middle School Social Studies and Religion. Mr. Frost retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer in 2003, and then earned his Master’s in Education from Old Dominion University in 2006 while participating in the Troops to Teachers Program.

Tricia has loved art since she was a small child and has always been involved in Museum classes and any extra curricular art activities. Tricia is originally from Massachusetts, but has lived in Norfolk for 15 years. Tricia has two children that attend Holy Trinity.

Ellen Mazzanti
Media & Technology

Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Math and Computer Science and an Endorsement in PreK-4th grade


Mrs. Mazzanti joined the Holy Trinity School family in 1998. After teaching kindergarten for eight years, she became the media specialist. Mrs. Mazzanti immediatley created a primary library downstairs so that all children, preschool through 8th grade, can enjoy checking-out books. She enjoys seeing all her "Kindergarten" students on a regular basis.
